Prequel Series: OUTREMER
I’m working on another “duology” (could possibly be a trilogy) about the events that take place before Altdorf. The series will follow Thomas, Pirmin, and the other 500 Schwyzer children sold to the Hospitaller Knights of St. John. It will also feature the Hospitaller grandmaster Foulques de Villaret in his younger years and Vignolo dei Vignolia, a Genoese adventurer, or pirate some would say, who actually existed and played an important role in the Order’s history.

I enjoyed the Forest Knight books, they were brilliant. I read Altdorf until 4am and Morgarten was brilliant also. I’ve just read the Healer and the Farrier, when are you going to write more books in both series? And can you make the healer stories longer, they are beautifully compact and you get the feel of the whole story, but the conclude too quickly.
Looking forward with eager anticipation,
Janet Dovastion

Thanks very much for your kind comments Janet! The third installment of Keepers of Kwellevonne (WARDER) will be released at the beginning of March. I’m still working on it and it looks like it will be twice as long as FARRIER was. As you might suspect, WARDER will be about Kaern–we go back in time and find out exactly what a Warder is and how Kaern became the youngest one ever. I don’t have a release date yet for the next Forest Knights novel, but I’m shooting for some time this summer. Thank you for visiting my blog and taking the time to comment!
All my best,

Just finished reading Altdorf and loved your style of writing. I was up most of the night because I couldn’t put it down. Just downloaded Morgaten to my reader. I can’t wait to get started.

Loved both books took al’of 2 days to read them, needless to say it was a wonderful read…at times I was scared to cont. to read the next page. Worried one of the characters I come to love would perish. You had me spellbound from the first chapter! Look forward to the contact. story of the children we grew to love as men.

Thank you very much TJ. I’m looking forward to getting out the first book in the Outremer series as well! (Hopefully this summer or fall if the day job doesn’t get in the way too much) It’s a bloody period in Hospitaller history and the young Schwyzers will be right in the middle of it
Thanks for taking the time to comment.

I have just finished reading Morgarten and had read Altdorf earlier this year. I really liked them both. I am quite the fan of historic fiction probably since reading Ivanhoe as a child, many many years ago. What I liked in particular about your books is the choice of Swiss history. The genre is a little overloaded with English and Roman history. Being German myself I really love reading historic fiction that takes place a little “closer to home”.
Also, you writing is much better crafted than that of most other e-book writers. Please keep on writing! You have gained a fan.

Thank you very much for reading my books and taking the time to post a comment, Norbert. As you may have guessed, I am also a huge fan of historical fiction and central Europe has such a rich history with so many interesting characters I am surprised more writers don’t explore this setting. I know I will be again!
all the best,

I really love this book series. I read both of them in a day and was a bit sad when i found out that there were only two bookz in the series. I really like how you did the books, and the ever growing relationship between Thomas and seraina. In general they were really good books and i look forward to the upcoming series about thomas and pirmin before the war

Thanks very much Alex–it means a lot when I hear people say they liked the Forest Knights books and it gives me lots of incentive to keep working on the OUTREMER series! Speaking of which…I’d better get back at it. Thank you for taking the time to comment.
